Feb 25 10:00 AM |
Do not drive up their driveway with stock trailers. Parking will be along the county road or in their field, depending on how wet the ground is.
For those of you that have attended in the past, you are already aware of what a great time this is. Shod horses will not be necessary, but you decide, as there will be some rocky areas also. The ride will be about two and one half hours depending on the weather. This ride is usually the first chance for Pizza in 2012. There is always great food and stories in the Kuther shop after the ride. Fair weather riders are welcome to show up without their stock for the chili and socializing, but be prepared to be chastised!!
We plan to eat around 1:00 pm. The Chili will be provided. Everyone needs to bring a potluck dish to go with the chili, a chair, beverages, and table service.
Please contact Karen Parks, 509-243-4686 if you will be attending so we don’t leave without you in case that horse or mule was playing hard to catch.
Directions: Take Highway 12 West from Clarkston towards Pomeroy, go about 2.5 miles and turn left on Evans Road, follow Evans Road until it intersects Peola Road, turn right on Peola Road. When you come to a big red barn, make sure you go left, as Peola Road continues up the hill. Turn left on McGuire Gulch Road, a gravel road at the bottom of the hill. Kuther’s home is down the road on the left and the only house on McGuire Gulch Road. You will need to park on the side of the county road or in the field before there driveway if it is dry enough. Someone will be there to help with parking. |

We will need some volunteers to help with our chapter display, as there is competition for the best display. |
